The Kering MX headquarters spans approximately 740 square meters across two interconnected levels. At its heart, a bespoke black spiral staircase connects the eighth and ninth floors, serving as both a sculptural centerpiece and a physical manifestation of the company’s dynamic spirit. This architectural feature anchors the design narrative while unifying the workspace that houses prestigious brands, including Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, and others.
The design philosophy emerged from close collaboration with Laurent Claquin, Director of Kering Americas, whose vision for a minimalist yet sophisticated workspace guided the design. The resulting space strikes a delicate balance between openness and intimacy, with curved glass partitions that create fluid transitions between areas while maintaining necessary privacy. Natural light floods the interior through floor-to-ceiling windows, enhancing spaciousness and supporting employee wellbeing.

The palette is intentionally restrained, featuring high-quality materials that evoke luxury through their substance rather than embellishment. Light oak flooring adds warmth underfoot, while wooden wall paneling, glass, and concrete surfaces convey strength and durability. The color scheme remains deliberately monochromatic, with matte black architectural elements providing contrast against warm wood tones, crisp whites, and soft grays.
Employee wellness is central to the design approach, with thoughtful consideration given to thermal, lighting, and acoustic performance. Custom lighting solutions follow the curved architecture, creating an elegant rhythm throughout the space while ensuring optimal working conditions.
The resulting workspace transcends the traditional office paradigm, creating an environment where luxury is expressed through thoughtful restraint. Each design element, from the sweeping curved glass partitions to the statement spiral staircase, contributes to a space that supports both focused work and creative collaboration. This office design exemplifies how corporate architecture can embody brand values while prioritizing the human experience, inspiring and nurturing those within it.
